Party Chiefs

The Offshore Party Chief is responsible for and in charge of the offshore field work for an assigned project. Prior to commencement they would typically be involved in the preparation scopes of the project, and will compile the day to day offshore reporting required. As part of their role they will direct and control personnel within their assigned survey team, provide on the job training to junior staff, ensure procedures are followed and the job is completed in a cost effective, timely and safe manner. The Party Chief is also responsible for liaison with Senior Management both onboard the vessel and on the beach. The responsibilities of this position make careful selection a prerequisite, particularly during peak season. As a result of several years experience working in various roles within the survey industry our consultants have been involved in the training of many of today's Party Chiefs, so know their particular strenghts and weaknesses.
